Who can participate in Destination Imagination?
Springboro Destination Imagination is open to students in Kindergarten - 12th grade. Springboro Community City Schools supports Springboro DI by providing meeting space and resources. For this reason, students who live in the Springboro Community City School District are eligible to participate. This includes both students who attend a Springboro Community City School or students who are homeschooled. Unfortunately, this means that residents of other school districts are ineligible to participate in Springboro Destination Imagination. HOWEVER, Springboro Destination Imagination is more than willing to help you start your own neighborhood, school, or club team. Contact Sari Pfennig, Springboro DI Coordinator at di.springboro@gmail.com for more information.
How often will my student's team meet?
This is up to the team manager and depends upon the age of the students. Generally, the Rising Stars (kindergarten - 2nd grade) meet once a week for 60-90 minutes. Competitive level teams (3rd - 12th grade) typically meet once a week for 1.5 - 2 hours at the beginning of the season. There may be additional practices added as teams begin the building phase (January and February) of their solution development and as the Regional tournament approaches. The day of the week and time of team practices is determined by the availability of the team manager.
What is the refund policy?
Student pay to participate fees are due no later than September 30th. No refunds of pay to particpate fees will be issued.
